Acweorna! Today’s episode is chock full of new material, classic tunes and recently re-discovered songs with me sobbing into the mic having foregone and foregoing gigs due to Tendinitis (I did the hopping mad joke in last week’s show notes) and a strange knocking noise coming from the underside of my car whilst going round corners. “Covers Corner” seems to have connections with The Beatles and The Hellacopters. A couple of them I re-discovered whilst looking for a non-existent 7” that I play(?) Jax from Syteria sent me a couple of songs from the band’s up and coming new album “Syteria World” to play you, so I do, only the one though. On the purchasing front I’ve also pre-ordered The Hip Priests new album “Roden House Blues” on turquoise (I think) splattered vinyl with a Dip Shits Comic. At this point I should talk about Märvel but I won’t. Record Shop Day is next month with the list of what’s being released published. The only one that piqued my interest was the Ramones “Pleasant Dreams” Graham Gould mix. I overstep my allocated 1 hour by one song which obviously didn’t air on yesterday’s Radio Show but with a bit of clever live editing thanks to Barton you’d never have known.
