Acweorna! My mind this week was blown by the Deaf Devils. A great Action Rock, Death Punk band from Spain who supported the Dead Boys on Wednesday. Punk gets things underway this week with a Pistols rough mix and an “enhanced” mix of something from The Damned’s “Music For Pleasure” LP. From there on in it’s “New, New New”. Sami Yaffa and Steve Conte provide us with a track each from their respective new solo albums. Having been bumped from last week because of my tribute to Wayne Kramer, The Panpanics new album gets my full attention. Two new bands to me are Sirius Voltage and Us (thanks James). A track from both is aired. The Good The Band and The Zugly have a compilation of b-sides and unreleased songs coming out soon and to whet our appetite for destruction a song from it is played. “Covers Corner” returns with The Weeklings, The Dandy Warhols, The Anti-Nowhere League and the Deaf Devils, before the Dead Boys round things off.
